Mike has been applying for various jobs for the last 6 months or so. After one interview with a particularly long (and ultimately disappointing) wait, I started changing my prayers. Instead of just asking that we would be able to find a good job in a location that would be a good place for us to raise our family, I also started asking that when the right job came along, things would move smoothly.

And smoothly they did!

When this job was first posted, Mike saw it but didn't apply because he was waiting to hear back from another job. By the time he heard, this job listing was gone. However, a few weeks ago it came back. He applied and found out that one of his former co-workers is now in that lab! Within a week, he was asked for a phone interview, which went well enough that they wanted him to come meet them. A week later, he went out and was offered the job at the interview!

So now it's official:

Starting August 16, Mike will be doing cancer research at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.

Congratulations, honey! Big changes for our family!
